New research documents that LNG is a far worse offence towards the climate than diesel, petrol and marine fuel

During production, transport, storage and combustion, Methane is released into the atmosphere. According to UN, for the climate, 1kilo Methane is 34 times worse than 1 kilo CO2 over the duration of a 100 year period . The report therefore argues that this places LNG in the same class as conventional fuel and should  therefore also be taxed at the same rate as diesel, petrol and marine fuel.
