Norwegian Cruise Line completes retrofit job of SOx scrubbers on five of their cruise vessels

According to an article on Cruiseindustrynews.com, Norwegian Cruise Line has completed the retrofitting of exhaust gas cleaning technology on two more of its vessels, the last one, Norwegian Jewel, was fitted with hybrid, inline scrubber systems while in operation,- making it a milestone project in the cruise line history. The fitting of exhaust gas cleaning technology on the two vessels is said to reduce the equivalent of 1,500 tons of Sulphur Dioxide in the years to come.
